LA28 Olympic Tickets Go On Sale For Locals

April 2nd is the day that millions of sports fans across Southern California have been waiting for. LA28 Olympic tickets are officially on sale right now for the very first time, and this opening window is reserved exclusively for locals who pre-registered for the chance to buy. Fans with eligible zip codes in Los Angeles, Orange, Riverside, San Bernardino and Ventura counties, as well as Oklahoma City, who were selected in the random draw are receiving 48-hour notice emails today that include a time slot and a link to purchase. Each selected fan can buy up to 12 tickets, plus an additional 12 tickets to the Olympic soccer tournament, with opening and closing ceremony tickets capped at four per person. This locals-only pre-sale runs through April 6, after which fans from around the world get their first chance to buy in a general sale that opens April 9.

Prices cover an enormous range, designed to reflect every kind of budget and every kind of Olympic dream. The most affordable entry points start at just 28 dollars, a nod to the year the Games arrive in Los Angeles, while the most in-demand events can exceed 1,000 dollars for premium seats. Organizers say roughly half of all tickets will be priced above 200 dollars, and about 5 percent will top 1,000 dollars. Across both the Olympics and the Paralympics, 14 million total tickets will eventually be available, with Paralympic tickets going on sale next year. The ticket platform lets buyers search by sport, venue or location, and specific seat numbers within a chosen category will be assigned later. For anyone who does not get selected in today’s sale, more drops are planned in the coming months, and a resale market opens in 2027, so there will be many more chances ahead to be part of this historic event in Los Angeles.
