She Mowed A Football Field In Under 15 Minutes: A New World Record

On a spring afternoon in Louisville, Kentucky, a lawn care content creator known as the Lawn Queen climbed aboard a professional-grade ride-on mower in front of a crowd of onlookers, an official Guinness World Records adjudicator, and what amounted to one football field-worth of grass maintained at a mandatory minimum height of six inches, and proceeded to mow the entire thing in 14 minutes and 51.06 seconds. The attempt was organized by power technology company Rehlko, formerly part of Kohler, which had been searching for the most publicly visible way to demonstrate the real-world performance of its flagship Command PRO 999 cc, 41-horsepower gasoline engine, and decided that mowing a football field faster than anyone had ever officially done it while a crowd watched from the banks of the Ohio River was exactly the kind of test they had in mind. The official driver, Hali Rieman, was selected through a nationwide public voting program, and is known on Instagram to more than 30,000 followers for her satisfying lawn striping content. She said afterward that she never imagined her love for lawn care would lead to something like this.
The rules for the attempt were strict and deliberately demanding: the grass had to be at least six inches high before the first pass, the entire area of a standard American football field including end zones had to be fully mowed, and every run had to be verified by the Guinness adjudicator present on site. The Command PRO engine was chosen by Rehlko specifically because it is designed for sustained heavy load use in commercial and industrial environments, not for controlled showroom conditions, and the record attempt was framed internally as a live engineering validation rather than a marketing stunt, though it was clearly also very much a marketing stunt in the best possible sense. The Waterfront Park's president and executive director noted that the site holds deep cultural significance to Louisville and expressed pride that it now has an internationally certified Guinness World Record to go with it. Rieman broke the record, the engine held up perfectly, and the grass was cut in roughly the same amount of time it takes to watch an NFL halftime show.
