The 26 year old writer and director met Andressa four years ago on a class film set at the Georgia Institute of Technology where he wrote the project and she acted in it, and from then on they’ve always helped each other out and spent evenings watching films together. Carter initially thought about proposing in a movie theater but realized you’d be proposing during a film you’d never seen before, and what if it was bad, so instead he waited for the perfect moment when Andressa suggested watching Shrek one evening.
