Chewy Threw The World's Largest Dog Pool Party

Under the bright Florida sunshine, something completely wonderful happened at a park near Miami. Pet company Chewy hosted an event at its new Chewy Bark Park location in Coral Gables, inviting local dog owners to bring their pups for what it billed as a record-breaking experience. The final count: 276 dogs showed up, officially setting the Guinness World Records title for most dogs attending a pool party. Half the park was dedicated to pop-up paddling pools under shady trees, where dogs splashed, waded, and thoroughly refused to behave. The other half featured free treats, toys, games, and prizes, along with Chewy Vet Care stations, pet safety education, and dog CPR demonstrations from the local fire department. Hydration stations and cooling areas were set up throughout for the comfort of the four-legged guests. As soon as the dogs rushed through the gates, they were met by a "lifeguard crew" of event staff who counted every single pup before they entered what can only be described as pet paradise.
The event, called the Chewy Summer Social, was designed to celebrate the start of summer and showcase Chewy Bark Park as a new community gathering space for pet owners in South Florida. Guinness World Records Adjudicator Thomas Bradford oversaw the official count and confirmed the record. "As a huge dog lover, this was a dream adjudication for me," he said. The organizers put it simply: "Seeing hundreds of dogs splashing around and making memories with their people was pure joy, and a special reminder of how pets bring us together." Summer 2026 is off to the best possible start.
