His name is Louis Vuitton, and every single day he leaps across a narrow ditch that marks the official boundary between the two countries, wanders into a state park on the American side, greets whoever happens to be nearby, collects his belly rubs, and then hops back home to Canada as if none of it required a second thought. Louis will turn six years old on Canada Day, a birthday his owner considers perfectly fitting for a cat who has turned casual border-hopping into a beloved daily ritual.
