The Weeknd Sold 2.3 Million Tickets Across Europe This Summer And Gave $2.2 Million Of It Away

The Weeknd wrapped the Europe and UK leg of his After Hours Til Dawn Stadium Tour in early September 2026 after 42 shows across Manchester, Copenhagen, Munich, Lille, Paris, Amsterdam, Milan, Frankfurt, Warsaw, Stockholm, London, Dublin, Madrid, Barcelona, and Lisbon, drawing more than 2.3 million fans and grossing more than $345 million across the run. Throughout the European leg, one euro from every ticket sold in Europe and one pound from every ticket sold in the UK was donated to two organizations: the United Nations World Food Programme, through his XO Humanitarian Fund, and Global Citizen. The total raised from the European tour came to more than $2.2 million. The tour also generated more than $618 million in economic impact across the UK and France alone, according to figures released at its conclusion. Global Citizen gave fans an additional route into the shows by allowing tickets to be earned through taking action on campaigns focused on ending extreme poverty, rather than only through purchase, extending the philanthropic dimension of the tour beyond the per-ticket donation mechanism and into the audience selection itself.
The $2.2 million adds to a giving history that the Weeknd, whose legal name is Abel Tesfaye, has built steadily across more than a decade of sustained humanitarian work. He has been a Goodwill Ambassador for the World Food Programme since 2021, seeded his XO Humanitarian Fund with a personal $500,000 donation when he launched it in 2022, and directed $2.5 million from the fund toward emergency meals in Gaza in late 2023, funding that the WFP said could feed more than 173,000 Palestinians for two weeks. His total contributions to WFP through the fund now exceed $6.5 million, with additional allocations toward emergency food assistance in Ethiopia alongside the Gaza work. The After Hours Til Dawn tour launched in 2022 and by November 2023 had become the highest-earning tour of all time by a male solo artist, crossing the $1 billion mark. The 2026 European leg alone sold nearly 900,000 tickets in July alone according to Billboard's Boxscore, making it the highest-grossing month of the tour. The Guinness Book of World Records named him the most popular artist in the world in 2023. He is now heading to Asia for 17 more shows. The XO Humanitarian Fund will keep collecting.
